AARC meets with U.S. Senator Booker: It was agreed that it is in the national interest of the United States for Kosovo to integrate into NATO.

The Albanian-American Relations Council (AARC) leadership held a “productive and substantive” meeting with U.S. Senator Cory Booker from the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

They emphasized that support for Kosovo and strong U.S.–Albania relations remains bipartisan in the United States. During the discussion, the Senator agreed that Kosovo’s integration into NATO is in the U.S. national interest and that Albanians in the region should play a stronger stabilizing role.

AARC highlighted the importance of renewed U.S. leadership in the dialogue process, with mutual recognition as its central goal. They also informed the Senator about developments in North Macedonia, including concerns over the implementation of Albanian language rights and recent student protests.

he meeting concluded with discussion of a possible future visit by the Senator to the region, and AARC reaffirmed its commitment to advocating for Albanian issues in Washington and supporting U.S. leadership in promoting peace, stability, and democratic values in the Balkans.
